I am devoted to mentoring and teaching. I currently work as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Florida where I teach Basic Nutrition, Life Span and Community Nutrition courses. I believe in advocating for social justice and diversity, healing weight stigma and educating future dietitians and other healthcare professionals to do the same. As a mentor, I support mentees in learning and practicing professional boundaries that support their mental health and quality of life.

I practice compassion, cultural sensitivity and weight inclusion with mentees. I focus on education in the following concept areas:

  • Patient-Centered Outcomes

  • Cultural Sensitivity

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Intuitive Eating

  • Non-Diet Approach

  • Weight Neutral

  • Health at Every Size®

  • Spirituality

  • Body Acceptance

  • Weight Inclusive

  • Weight Stigma

  • Community Nutrition

  • Behavioral Health Nutrition

  • Public Health Nutrition
